About Functional Mushrooms
Humans have used mushrooms for thousands of years for an endless variety of applications, both culinary and therapeutic. Functional mushrooms include a variety of fungi species that are packed with beneficial health compounds like proteins, vitamins, minerals, complex carbohydrates, and more.
In terms of practical use, functional mushrooms are becoming increasingly popular for inflammation relief, stress and anxiety relief, immunity, and improved levels of focus, energy, and athletic performance and recovery.
As the popularity of functional mushrooms spreads around the globe, it is our hope that more and more people will begin to take a more natural, fungi-inspired approach to health and wellness. Did you know over 6 million Americans aged 65 or older are living with Alzheimer's dementia? Established in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the nation's leading voluntary health organization for Alzheimer's care, support, and research.
Preclinical studies suggest that functional mushrooms may reduce inflammation and biological markers that can lead to Alzheimer's disease. Functional mushrooms are also known to improve cognition and increase the release of nerve growth factor, which is a protein that helps improve nerve functionality in those suffering from various forms of dementia.
100% of the profits generated from this project will be donated to Alzheimer's research.
